Cathodic Protection
Cathodic Protection
Cathodic protection is an important technical means to prevent metal corrosion, including sacrificial anode protection and impressed current method. According to impressed current method, the cathode current is applied to the protected metal parts by the external DC power supply, so that the cathodic polarization is triggered to reduce or even completely inhibit the metal corrosion. The auxiliary anode is used to provide a circuit for the current.

Because of the reaction of oxygen evolution or chlorine evolution on anode terminal, the corrosion resistance and stability of the auxiliary anode will play an important role in the operation of the whole cathodic protection system.
Application Area

Protection for storage tank of water heater

External protection for hull, pipelines, platforms and other marine facilities, wharves, dams and cold water system inlets in power plants

Internal protection for oil tank, condenser, pipeline and heat exchanger

Embedded structure (applied to carbon bearing soil)
